We are currently in search of a Development Assistant for a Social Service Organization. The position is based in Washington, DC (Hybrid). This is a full-time, temporary to permanent assignment.

DURATION: Temporary to Permanent
SCHEDULE: 37.5 hours/week
HOURLY PAY: $19.00 – $21.00

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Assistant will provide critical administrative and technical support to the Development team. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with an anticipated salary around $40k. The organization is currently working a hybrid model with 1-3 days/week in-office and the other days remote.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of development experience required (or 3+ years of experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Prior experience working with a CRM system required; preference given to those with DonorPerfect Online experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility to attend weekend/evening events (approximately 7 times/year during non-pandemic times)

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Enter all donations and relevant constituent data into DonorPerfect Online
  • Produce acknowledgement letters, generate mailing lists and create reports
  • Provide oversight and quality control for direct mail appeals
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the database, maintaining the integrity and quality of the data in the database
  • Support the Director of Development and events teams in planning and hosting events throughout the year such as:
    • Event marketing and promotion
    • Event registration management
    • Logistics
    • Scheduling staff assistance and participation
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the Executive Director as it relates to donor and partner engagement
  • Coordinate with the Communications Associate on the production and publication of content for external communications
