We are currently in search of an Event Coordinator for a Legal Services Organization. The position is REMOTE. This is a part-time, temporary assignment.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Legal Services Organization

LOCATION: Remote

POSITION TITLE: Event Coordinator

DURATION: Temporary (~5 months)

SCHEDULE: 10 hours/week

HOURLY PAY: $16.00 – $19.00/hour

Is This Your Dream Job? Nonprofit organization providing legal services to low-income individuals is seeking a part-time event coordinator to assist in planning logistics for their annual conference in New Orleans, LA. Travel to the conference would be mandatory, but all other work could be done remotely. 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 7+ years of experience in event planning preferred
  • Experience working for a non-profit required
  • Familiarity with the legal world preferred
  • Proficient with social media
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative individual with strong attention to detail

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Compiling and organizing presentations
  • Coordinating travel for presenters
  • Assisting with fulfillment of sponsorship inquiries
  • Preparing handouts and updating conference material on website
  • Directing conference participants to online portal to create itineraries
  • Provide technical assistance to users and reminding conference participants to complete online tasks
  • Using social media to market the conference and interact with members of the community using Facebook Live
  • Support presenters and attendees on-site at the conference
