We are currently in search of a Human Resources Manager with a Social Services Organization.  The position is based in Southwest Chicagoland.  This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the full range of human resources responsibilities including talent management, training and professional development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.

Our client is a non-profit social service organization serving individuals 60 years and older with special emphasis on keeping seniors in their homes.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field required; Master’s degree in HR, business, or related field preferred 
  • 6-8 years’ experience in all aspects of Human Resources: talent management, training/professional development, employee relations, compensation and benefits required

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate all HR policies, programs, and practices
  • Respond to employee relations needs including day-to-day issues as well as more complex issues
  • Recruit, select, orient, and train new employees in partnership with members of the leadership team
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate all HR policies, programs, and practices
  • Respond to employee relations needs including day-to-day issues as well as more complex issues
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department on and assist with implementing all policies related to benefits including time away from the office, insurance, unemployment, worker’s compensation, etc.
  • Provide support in compliance and employment laws
  • Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records
  • Advance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies
