Prospective Candidate Day
Are you interested in joining a great nonprofit? Do you want to spend your workday making a difference?
We are pleased to announce that Careers In Nonprofits is actively seeking outstanding talent to work for nonprofits in the DC/MD/VA area! We are in search of candidates with a passion for nonprofits and an interest in temporary, temporary-to-permanent, and/or direct hire opportunities. We will be hosting Prospective Candidate Day to meet with interested job seekers who are located in the Washington, DC area and would love to see you there!
There are two sessions for this event. The first is for job seekers who wish to be considered for BOTH temporary and direct hire opportunities, which will take place on Thursday, February 22. The session for job seekers who ONLY wish to be considered for direct hire positions will be on Friday, February 23.
We are currently looking for candidates who have nonprofit and/or association experience. We are particularly searching for candidates with a background in the following areas:
|Human Resources||Membership||Database Management|
Candidates who do not meet these qualifications may not be accommodated, depending on availability.
This event is reserved for those who have not yet interviewed at our office.
What can I expect at Prospective Candidate Day?
You will have an opportunity to interview with a CNP hiring expert to discuss your job search and begin the process of becoming a CNP candidate. Your appointment will last approximately 25 minutes and is a first interview. Please be punctual but do not arrive more than 10 minutes early. Dress the part and tell us why the nonprofit sector needs you! You will also have a chance to chat with other professionals interested in working in the nonprofit sector. Join a network of job seekers working to support the sector that gives back!
In order to RSVP for this free event, please contact Shanelle Sorensen at firstname.lastname@example.org with “Prospective Candidate Day” in the subject line. Include the following information:
- First and last name
- Whether you are employed full-time, part-time, or currently unemployed
- Whether you would like to be considered for temporary opportunities, direct hire opportunities, or both*
- Preferred time window: 12:00-2:00 pm or 3:00-5:00 pm
- Your preferred salary requirements
- An attached Word or PDF file of your resume
*Job seekers who are only open to direct hire opportunities will be scheduled for the Friday, February 23 session. Other job seekers will be scheduled for the Thursday, February 22 session.
If you do not include all of the requested information, you will not be considered for this event.
After you RSVP, you will receive a tentative appointment based on current availability. Your appointment is not confirmed until you accept this appointment and receive a confirmation email.
Please note that if you do not RSVP, you will not be seen. Once you have RSVP’d, we will contact you with additional details. We will accept RSVP’s for this event until we are at capacity.
