We are currently in search of a Nonprofit Accounting Consultant for an Arts Organization. The position is based in Evanston, IL and offered remotely. This is a temporary, ongoing assignment.
ORGANIZATION TYPE: Arts Organization
LOCATION: Remote, virtual
POSITION TITLE: Accounting Consultant
DURATION: Temporary, ongoing
SCHEDULE: Part-time, 15-20 hours/month
HOURLY PAY: $21.00-24.00/hour
Is This Your Dream Job? The Nonprofit Accounting Consultant will provide monthly oversight of our financials and report to the Director of Financial Services. This position will manage all accounting efforts including journal entries, bank reconciliations, income statement reviews, generating monthly financial reports, reviewing sales receipts, and assist with audit preparation.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years’ experience in nonprofit accounting or finance required
- CPA preferred but not required
- Experience using Sage 50 US or equivalent of other accounting software
- Expertise in Excel and pivot tables
- Understands the handling of restricted funds and endowments
- Data migration capabilities a plus
- Special requirements (faith-based, mission interest, etc.)
