We are currently in search of a Development Assistant for a Museum. The position is based in Washington, DC (Primarily Remote). This is a full-time, temporary assignment.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Museum
LOCATION: Washington, DC (Primarily Remote)
POSITION TITLE: Development Assistant
DURATION: Temporary (~9 months)
SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week
HOURLY PAY: $19.00-$22.00

Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Assistant will support the Advancement and External Affairs department at the museum with writings, mailings, data entry and administrative support. The role will primarily be remote, with some periodic on-site assistance required as allowed with COVID19 restrictions. This role will begin in January.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience required
  • Specific experience in data entry and database management required
  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Prior museum experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Assist with implementation of the membership program
  • Enter data into the fundraising database
  • Pull reports from the database as needed
  • Coordinate department mailings including drafting solicitation letters and processing acknowledgement letters
  • Assist with member/donor inquiries as needed
  • Assist with department events and programs as needed
