We are currently in search of a Director of Compliance and Regulations for a Social Service nonprofit organization. The position is based in San Francisco, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position.

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

POSITION TITLE: Director of Compliance and Regulations  

 Is This Your Dream Job? Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be in charge of the organization’s Compliance Program. You will research, apply and monitor the application of the HIPAA and 340B rules and regulations. You will communicate and train all employees on best practices. You will conduct security risk analysis and react accordingly with significant upgrades and progresses.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 8-10 years of experience including 5 years with healthcare compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare/public health administration or business
  • Master’s or legal degree preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with HIPAA and 340B rules and regulations
  • Significant communication skills and ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Ability to research, analyze, interpret and explain complex legal notions
  • Collaborative, outgoing and tolerant
  • Autonomy, time management and professionalism
  • Flexible and able to multitask
  • Proficiency with MS Office

 How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Execute, reinforce, and oversee the Compliance Program for the entire organization
  • Continue to monitor and ensure the organization’s services are fully compliant with federal and state HIPAA laws and regulations
  • Apply and monitor the 340B drug pricing rules
  • Track, evaluate and report on the Program’s effectiveness
  • Educate and train all employees on the compliance principles/ HIPAA security rules
  • Conduct security risk analysis and work with other departments on action plans to improve patients’ privacy security
  • Stay up to date with the HIPAA laws and regulations revisions/changes
  • Create/produce and manage an audit system across the organization
  • Investigate, report and resolve any law and regulations violations within the organization
  • Communicate with Federal and State institutions about eventual regulatory inquiries
