We are currently in search of a Gift Processing Assistant for an International Environmental Organization. The position is based in Fairfax, VA. This is a part-time, temporary assignment.
ORGANIZATION TYPE: International Environmental Organization
LOCATION: Fairfax, VA (not metro accessible)
POSITION TITLE: Gift Processing Assistant
DURATION: Temporary (~6 months)
SCHEDULE: 15-20 hours/week
HOURLY PAY: $20.00/hour
Is This Your Dream Job? This position will support the Director of Membership and Marketing with tasks related to gift and acknowledgement processing. The Gift Processing Assistant will be the primary customer service provider via phone and email.
Our Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum of 1+ year of data entry experience required
• Experience with CRM databases required, Revolution Online a plus
• Must be proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong customer-service attitude with excellent communication skills
• General understanding of science and conservation issues desired
• Spanish language skills a plus
• Meticulous, organized and appreciates a predictable weekly schedule of duties
How You Will Spend Your Day:
• Manage the gift entry process including opening mail, scanning and depositing checks electronically, charging credit card gifts and entering data
• Sorting weekly donations by gift type, prepare, assemble and ship acknowledgement letters and post cards
• Answer donor inquiries and complaints by phone and email while keeping strict records
• Follow up with donors with transaction errors
• General clean up and organization of existing database
