We are currently in search of a Marketing and Communications Coordinator for a Social Services Organization. The position is remote. This is a full-time, temporary assignment.

LOCATION: Remote (DC metro area)
POSITION TITLE: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
DURATION: Temporary (~4 months)
SCHEDULE: 37.5 hours/week
HOURLY PAY: $21.00 – $23.00

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will report to the Director of Development and Communications, supporting the execution of communication plans and increasing the visibility of programs to the public. This role will be involved in all aspects of digital and print media including newsletter production, social media management, public relations, graphic design and event promotion. This role will primarily be remote due to COVID 19, but may require occasional in-office project support.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of nonprofit marketing/communications experience required
  • Experience in fundraising a plus
  • Basic graphic design skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Execute on communications plan, staying within budget and overseeing special initiatives
  • Work as team to draft and create creative content, ideas and themes for all publications
  • Assist with the production of content for events including marketing materials and event materials
  • Assist with establishing and executing strategies for weekly social media posts on Facebook and Twitter
  • Automate daily media monitoring
  • Maintain media releases and press lists
  • Maintain monthly communication plans including calendars
  • Develop content and set up print for newsletter
  • Maintain organization website with proactive monthly updates and edits
  • Develop relevant content for all third-party portals including GuideStar, Google Business, etc.
  • Create clear content and graphic designs based on target audiences and program needs
  • Serve as main point of contact for all graphic design and marketing vendors
  • Create monthly outcome reports of marketing efforts
