We are currently in search of a Nonprofit Executive Assistant for an Advocacy Association. This position is based in Downtown Chicago, IL.

POSITION TITLE: Nonprofit Executive Assistant

DURATION: Temporary-ongoing

SCHEDULE: Full time (40 hours/week)

HOURLY PAY: $18.00 – $21.00/hour

 

Is This Your Dream Job?  The Nonprofit Executive Assistant will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the CEO. As the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the formal contact or connection between the Development Team and CEO and various committees. This is a great opportunity for someone who is currently unemployed and looking to start a new position ASAP.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 4+ years’ experience as an executive assistant
  • Proven experience with calendar management and able to effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of leadership and staff
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with different constituencies (subordinates, managers, peers, donors and Board members)
  • A goal-oriented personality who is resilient and creative when faced with shifting challenges and opportunities
  • Exceptional work ethic and track record of personal initiative and achievement

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Provide administrative support for the President/CEO
  • Assist the CEO with his daily/weekly calendar, meeting scheduling, and provide updates and appropriate meeting materials
  • Draft and distribute communications to outside parties, as requested, including phone, email and written communications
  • Organize business related travel, ensuring that all aspects of the trip are efficiently and cost effectively arranged including group travel to conferences or team retreats
  • Support the CEO and Organization by answering phones, screening calls and email
  • Conduct research as requested to support the CEO’s meetings, columns, appearances and attendance at events
  • Track inventory and manage office supplies including purchasing supplies in a cost-effective manner
  • Composing clear and concise notes at all meetings attended by CEO
  • Serve as liaison between the CEO and Development Team
