We are currently in search of a Nonprofit Special Events Assistant for a Health Organization. This position is based in Hinsdale, IL.

 

ORGANIZATION: Health Organization

LOCATION: Hinsdale, IL

POSITION TITLE: Nonprofit Special Events Assistant

SCHEDULE: Full time (40hrs/week)

DURATION: Temporary (2 months)

HOURLY PAY: $14.00 – $17.00/hour

The Nonprofit Special Events Assistant reports to the Manager of Special Events and Annual Giving and supports all areas of event-planning and executing, donor relations, and participant administration. This is a great opportunity for someone who is currently unemployed and looking to start a new position ASAP.

  • Event administrative experience required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and professional demeanor
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, social media platforms and database programs
  • Capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively and meeting deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to excellence
  • Must be able to lift/move items up to 30 pounds

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Work in donor/event database to track revenue, update participant records and run reports as needed
  • Address general event questions and manage event voicemail and e-mail
  • Manage registration process for participants; entering forms, processing forms
  • Assist in donation processing
  • Work on cultivation of event committees and team captains
  • Coordinate logistics for events (ordering supplies, securing in-kind donations etc.)
  • Assist with coordinating volunteers needed for events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Special Events & Annual Giving
