We are currently in search of a Receptionist for a Police Think Tank. The position is based in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent assignment.

 

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Police Think Tank

LOCATION: Washington, DC

POSITION TITLE: Receptionist

DURATION: Temporary to Permanent

SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week

HOURLY PAY: $16.00

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Receptionist will serve as a first point of contact for all visitors and callers. Additionally, this person will provide administrative support to membership, accounting and programmatic teams. This is a dynamic role within a non-partisan, police research and policy-based think tank. This role will ideally be temp to hire, with an anticipated salary around $40,000.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of receptionist, administrative and/or membership-based experience
  • Nonprofits experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills
  • Team-player
  • Given the extent that this person will interface with visitors and staff in-person, proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required before starting the assignment

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Greeting all guests and visitors, answering questions and directing them to appropriate staff members
  • Answering all incoming calls and directing their calls as necessary
  • Assisting membership team with processing payments in database
  • Receive/send all mail and deliveries in a timely manner
  • Support all office functions, ensuring supplies are reordered as necessary and equipment is working properly
  • Contacting maintenance, IT and other external vendors when issues/questions arise
  • Assist accounting team with processing expense reports and general filing
  • Help out program and project managers with tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
