We are currently in search of an Associate Program Manager for a Homeless Shelter. The position is based in Washington DC. This is a full-time, permanent assignment.

LOCATION: Washington, DC
POSITION TITLE: Associate Program Manager
DURATION: Permanent
SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday)
ANNUAL SALARY: $60,000-75,000
Is This Your Dream Job? This position will lead smooth functionality of the facility, including enforcement of best practices and ensuring the mission of the organization and contract requirements are being met. This position requires a strong leader with an ability to problem solve and assist staff members and clients resolve concerns. Prior experience in a clinical social work environment would be helpful, but not required. The Associate Program Manager reports to the Director of Programs.
Our Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in human services required, Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising 10+ employees
• Prior knowledge of DC social services resources required
• Background in healthcare, psychology or social work required
• Experience working in a residential facility required
• Licensed social worker a plus
• Strong cultural competence with excellent communication skills required
How You Will Spend Your Day:
• Tracking program budgets up to $4M
• Supervising staff of 20-60 employees, depending on facility
• Ensuring contractual obligations with Department of Behavioral Health and Department of Defense are met and best practices are followed
• Drop-in observation of various shifts to ensure policies are being adhered to
• Creating and updating professional development and training materials for employees
• Reporting on program data as needed
• Meeting with senior leadership to discuss strategy, needs and overall direction of the organization
