Staffing nonprofits nationwide

Careers In Nonprofits is committed to celebrating diversity, and empowering equity and inclusivity across the nonprofit sector.

To ensure that we successfully meet and exceed these standards: our hiring process, both internally and externally, is diligently structured to be free from biases—giving all candidates an equal opportunity, while also identifying the best possible candidate for our nonprofit clients.

1.

Redactive Anonymous Resume Submissions

Also referred to as Blind hiring, Careers In Nonprofits uses this HR practice to effectively reduce biases during the hiring process. By implementing this practice, our recruiting team relies on transparent practices that focus on hiring nonprofit candidates regardless of their name, gender, mother tongue, race, religion, and socioeconomic background.

2.

Inclusive Job Descriptions

Building a better, more inclusive nonprofit sector begins with writing inclusive job descriptions that attract a diverse pool of applicants.

Careers In Nonprofits restricts the use of gender-specific wording, uninviting insider jargon, as well as any use of othering language that challenges inclusive hiring practices and equal opportunities for diverse candidates.

3.

Recruiter Training For Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI)

Careers In Nonprofits is a values-driven organization. We are making lasting changes and investing in our internal practices so that when a new recruiter joins our team, our onboarding process mandates DEI training provided by expert-led classes to become a better recruiter, leader, and ally in the nonprofit sector. Reinforcing education with the founding principles of our own Careers In Nonprofits Code of Conduct is at the heart of our mission.
