We are currently in search of an HR Director for a Social Services Organization. The position is based in Washington DC. This is a full-time, temporary assignment.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Social Services Organization

LOCATION: Washington, DC (L’Enfant)

POSITION TITLE: HR Director

DURATION: Temporary (~4-6 weeks)

SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week

HOURLY PAY: $30.00 – $35.00/hour

Is This Your Dream Job? This position will work in the corporate office of a multi-state social services organization which provides direct services to people with disabilities. The HR Director will manage issues related to staff and compliance issues, including investigating issues and placing employees on leave as needed. They will also manage the employee benefits program and serve as a liaison with their outside broker.

 Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Available to begin a new position immediately
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required, strong preference for those with HR Management related degrees and certifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Director, Senior Generalist or Benefits Specialist
  • Experience working with 24/hour, direct service facilities such as a hospital, nursing home or similar facility a huge plus
  • Prior experience with managing government and state compliance required
  • Experience managing self-funded benefits plans preferred
  • Proficient with Outlook, ADP and Workforce Now software desired

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Communicating with staff members about concerns and issues requiring immediate attention and potential investigation
  • Assisting staff members with issues related to benefits and working with outside broker to resolve issues
  • Managing worker’s compensation, FMLA and other employee programs
  • Working with HR Associate on issues related to payroll
  • Other tasks as needed
