We are currently in search of a Nonprofit Associate Director of Development for a Social Services Organization. This position is based in Evanston, IL and is a full time, permanent opportunity.

LOCATION: Evanston, IL
POSITION TITLE: Associate Director of Development
DURATION: Permanent, Full-Time
SALARY: $70,000 – $80,000
Is This Your Dream Job? Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Associate Development Director will spearhead development efforts as the organization continues to go through tremendous growth. The Development Director will have the opportunity to build the donor base with the initial focus of major gifts and annual benefit.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years’ experience in a development role
- Has implemented development processes in the past
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management and event planning skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Has experience with creating and implementing a marketing campaign
- Experience soliciting major gifts
How You Will Spend Your Day:
- Further develop and execute the organization’s annual fundraising plan
- Build relationships with donors
- Secure increased financial support from individuals, organizations, foundations, and corporations
- Manage development software, data entry and gift processing
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
- Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
- Oversee the organization of all events
- Develop and track grant proposals and reports for a portion of foundation and corporate fundraising
