We are currently in search of a Nonprofit Certification Content Development Role for a Roofing Association. The position is based in Chicago Northwest Suburbs. This is a full time, temporary/remote assignment.


ORGANIZATION TYPE: Roofing Association

LOCATION: Chicago Northwest Suburbs 

POSITION TITLE:  Certification Content Development Role

DURATION: Temporary, 6-12 months

SCHEDULE: Full Time (37-40 hours/week)

HOURLY PAY: $17.00 – $19.00/hour


Is This Your Dream Job? This Certification Content Development Role reports to Director of Certification Development assists with development and maintenance of NRCA’s ProCertification™ program content; supports other certification staff with organizing and analyzing data, writing and editing content, and facilitating face-to-face and virtual meetings with volunteer subject matter experts.


Our Ideal Candidate:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES – Background/experience in credentialing, testing, and/or educational industry – A basic understanding of certification standards and psychometric/statistical principles – Project management experience, either as a PM or as a key stakeholder on large-scale projects – Experience with volunteer management – The ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, with special focus on driving deadlines and ensuring timelines are met (keeping projects on schedule) – Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple, simultaneous, complex priorities while multi-tasking to meet individual and project-related deadlines – Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality – Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and various database software and the ability to quickly learn new applications – Excellent written and oral communications with internal and external stakeholders – Strong attention to detail – Experience in marketing and sales strategies for credentials and educational offerings




  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, business or communications or other related professional credentials
  • Experience in managing certification program development
  • Experience working in a professional society or trade association
  • 3+ years of credentialing or education experience
