We are currently in search of a Nonprofit Guest and Member Operations Assistant Supervisor for a Museum.

ORGANIZATION: Museum

LOCATION: Chicago, IL

POSITION TITLE: Nonprofit Guest and Member Operations Assistant Supervisor

DURATION: Temporary, Temporary to Permanent

SCHEDULE: Part-time (27 hours per week)

HOURLY PAY: $14.00-16.00 per hour

TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT: $17 per hour

 

Is This Your Dream Job?  The Nonprofit Guest and Member Operations Assistant Supervisor provides staffing of museum admissions and membership desk while promoting membership sales and delivering customer service. This position strives to create a welcoming environment through positive staff-visitor interactions. The Assistant Supervisor executes opening and closing duties, staff lunch breaks and maintains continuity of exemplary service and performs back office duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is currently unemployed and looking to start a new position ASAP.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of strong supervisory support skills
  • 1-2 years of cash-handling experience required
  • Proven experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
  • Proficient in a CRM system or Altru, including database management preferred
  • High comfort level and interest in utilizing technology to increase efficiency and seek opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor with an ability to work well within a team environment
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn, teach, and develop new skills

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Provide floor leadership of museum guest and member admissions operations and the Guest Services staff in locations, including:
    • Greeter
    • off-site Membership kiosks
    • Museum crowd control
    • Admissions desks
  • Adheres to all cash handling policies and controls set forth by Museum’s policies in performing opening and closing duties.
  • Provides floor leadership for Guest and Member Operations Staff when Manager is not on the premises or is attending to manager duties off the floor.
  • Assists Guest Service and Member Operations staff resolve guest and member questions and issues.
  • Actively overseas the floor and traffic flow to ensure smooth entry and exit process for guests and members.
  • Provides back office customer service, such as membership hotline, email and mailing customer service, marketing collateral replenishment and other assignments delineated by the Floor Supervisor.
  • Support Manager with new employee training support and on-boarding.
  • Execute and encourages the team to deliver customer service and employ sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
  • Attends and participates in required team training and staff meetings.
