In 2006, Careers In Nonprofits started in a little downtown Chicago office.

We had one employee. She was our saleswoman. Operations manager. Marketing guru. Our data specialist. She was our office receptionist greeting every guest that came through the door.

Through her hard work, one employee turned into two. Two to four. And now, our Careers In Nonprofits organization has three fully staffed offices serving the nonprofit sectors of Washington DC, San Francisco, and Chicago.

Today, we know her formerly as our President & Founder, Nurys Pedersen.

And she is the author behind our "Small but Mighty" story.
